I’m here to serve YOU. Moms don’t have the time or the energy to take digital images and actually order prints, have them framed, or design albums. That’s the photographer’s job! As your Wichita newborn photographer with a studio up in Newton, I handle ALL of that for you, so you’re actually doing something meaningful with the photos of the most important people in your life.

Frequently Asked Questions

My shooting style is a mix of candid and posed. We play a lot to get genuine smiles out of littles and move around so everyone stays loose. And we laugh, A BUNCH. I’m like Chandler from Friends, “I make jokes when I’m uncomfortable” except I do it to keep YOU from feeling uncomfortable! It keeps things light and fun.

As for editing, my style is true to color with some pop! I love boosting the colors and contrast that naturally occur in our photos.

My process is much more hands on than most photographers. I handle everything from start to finish! We start with a studio consultation to plan our session; we discuss color schemes, outfits and your image display options (frames, canvas, albums, etc.) Then we have our fun shoot! About a week after the session, we meet back at my studio for a Viewing and Ordering Appointment to make your artwork selections. Then a few weeks later I will deliver your portraits, and even hang any wall art you purchased!

Yes! I’ve had my Newton, KS studio for over three years now. It is downtown at 500 N Main, Suite 214. I have two rooms in my suite, one where I shoot my lifestyle family/maternity photos and have wood backdrops for littles. And the other room has my posing table for newborns, prop storage and my client closet! This room is also where I have everything parents could need for their babies – changing table, rocker with a boppy and coverup for nursing, snacks and more!

We all want the digitals. There’s something about the security of having them and being able to back them up somewhere safe. I totally agree! With my services, everything is a la carte. You purchase your images in the form of framed art, collection box prints, or albums, and with each image you purchase you receive a matching digital file printable up to 8×10 with a release. Then you can save them and share them, make copies for family, everything you’d need! But by letting me take care of the important prints that you want to last, you get the best quality out there. You get the best of both worlds!

After our Viewing and Ordering Appointment when you’ve selected your portrait products, I will spend the next two weeks editing your images. Then I submit your order with my lab, and I usually receive our items from them within a week! I usually say 3-4 weeks from your order date for me to get everything in and delivered to you.

Why I Became a Wichita KS Photographer

Getting to work with Wichita moms while living just outside of town has been so great. I love serving so many communities like Newton (where my studio is located) Hesston, Moundridge, McPherson and more.

Over the years I have found many new shooting locations in the area, and I love exploring your location ideas as well! My favorite spots are places like Dyck Arboretum of the Plains in Hesston, Pawnee Prairie Park in Wichita, and Harvey County East Lake outside of Newton. And for anyone up for a quick adventure, Coronado Heights up in Lindsborg is definitely a favorite and epic shoot location!
